Coordinator of Communication and Social Media

After I graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Relational Communications, I pursued a career in communications with a non-profit community. When I discovered the Coordinator of Communication and Social Media position at St. Patrick Catholic Community in Scottsdale, Arizona, I was immediately interested. This was a great first job out of college for me. I took a big risk in moving thousands of miles away from home to the beautiful city of Scottsdale and was instantly welcomed into a loving community. 

 

My role at St. Patrick was to help and manage communication to our community and the outer community through our website, social media channels, and app in the midst of a large capital campaign to help raise funds for new buildings and opportunities to bring the community together. During my time at St. Patrick I used creativity and communication to meet the needs our thousands of social media fans. I was also able to help with the development and execution of our section of an amazing and innovative app entitled MyParish App. This app allowed our community to to keep in contact through events calendars, push notifications, and much more. 

 

While most of my job was behind the computer screen, I was able to get out of the office and behind a camera. With photography experience from Life Teen Camps, I was able to take pictures and video of our community events to keep our community involved and informed with visual aids. 

 

St. Patrick Catholic Community is a booming Catholic parish in Scottsdale, Arizona. If you are even in the area, St. Patrick will welcome you with open arms. Although I left quickly after a tough year for my family, I was constantly supported, always enjoyed my time at work, and learned so many great lessons and experiences that I wouldn't trade for the world.
